According to LiveStrong.com, boxing ring girls first rose to prominence after a 1965 edition of “Ring Magazine” ran a photo of a Las Vegas model holding a sign at a boxing match.
The invention of the Ring Girl is among the greatest creations of the 20th century. I just made that up, but not many boxing fans would argue with that statement.
